UBA Ghana Joins the Bank of Ghana to Raise Breast Cancer Awareness

On Saturday, UBA Ghana joined the Bank of Ghana Ladies Association (BoGLA) for a vibrant health walk in support of breast cancer awareness.
Themed “Pink Pride: Breast in Bra,” the event brought together employees from various banks for a 10-kilometre walk that blended fitness, advocacy, and community spirit. Starting from the Bank of Ghana headquarters, participants made their way through the city’s iconic landmarks including the Accra Sports Stadium before wrapping up at Cedi House.
It wasn’t just a walk; it was a powerful reminder of the importance of early detection, regular screening, and healthy living in the fight against breast cancer.

Dressed in pink tees, caps, and ribbons, participants moved with purpose and pride their energy reflecting solidarity with survivors and those still battling the disease.
“Breast cancer awareness is not just a campaign—it’s a life-saving conversation. UBA is proud to be part of this effort to spread hope and knowledge,” said the President of U-Lioness and Business Manager of Labone Branch.
Beyond raising awareness, the walk inspired both women and men to take charge of their health, schedule regular screenings, and support one another in creating a culture of care.
